Sue has spent many years in the logistics industry, latterly as a senior HR Manager for DHL UK. Her knowledge of issues such as TUPE and general HR is comprehensive and her competence in the area of due diligence is almost unsurpassed that ACAS have long used her in events on TUPE.  Defining and implementing HR strategies that supported business growth from £70m to £250m per annum.  Her achievements include:

 

  • Implementation of restructuring activities across the Automotive business to off-set a drop in revenue of 40% in 2009. 160 employees were TUPE transferred out and 230 redundancies implemented without recourse to employment tribunal.  Despite the drop in revenue, EBIT targets were achieved.
  • Resolving a dispute with Unite the Union about redundancy terms which avoided a potential £200,000 on-cost for the business.
  • Implementation of talent management activities which saw c100 management graded employees achieving promotion.
  • Provision of formal development and learning interventions that benefitted 270 first line managers and clerical employees in one year.
  • 5% improvement in employee engagement scores achieved
  • Defining and implementing HR strategies that supported business growth from £70m to £250m per annum.

 

She holds Accredited Workplace Mediator (NOCN) – 2010, a Masters Degree in Law and Employment Relations (Distinction), University of Leicester – 2007 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) since 2004.
