Dr Owen Wilkin

Dr Owen Wilkin is Unity MAT’s Trustee with oversight of Brooke School. Owen is an Analytical Chemist with over 25 years’ experience in Academia and Chemical Industry, currently working for a global corporation manufacturing Scientific Analytical Instruments. Owen obtained his academic qualifications at the University of Hull and then held post-doctoral research appointments at the University of Sheffield in the departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He met his wife Amanda whilst in Sheffield and they share five grown up children together and now three grandchildren.

They moved to Rugby in 2008 where Owen took up his current position and Amanda into pastoral roles within the Independent school sector. They were soon blessed with their youngest child, who was diagnosed with ASD at the age of 3 and has been a learner at Brooke School ever since. As a member of the Brooke parent body for over 8 years, Owen was invited to join the Unity MAT Advisory Committee where he held the position of vice-chair until he transferred over to this new role.
