About us:

Unity MAT is an exciting, ambitious Multi Academy Trust currently made up of three special schools within the Warwickshire area, these being Brooke School in Rugby, Welcombe Hills School in Stratford Upon Avon and Woodlands School in Coleshill.

Our central services functions, including Finance, HR, Site & Facilities and IT have recently been centralised to form the Trust’s Core Services Team.

We believe that this enhances our commitment to providing high quality support services to all of our schools and beyond.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Finance Officer to join our newly centralised Finance Team. You will play a key role in providing high quality financial support across the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the Core Team for the support offered to our schools and beyond.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager and it is anticipated that you will be based at Woodlands School in Coleshill. There is however some flexibility to work at our other schools and for occasional homeworking, as appropriate and agreed.

In summary, the main duties of the role include:

• Procurement
• Income collection and generation
• Providing financial advice & dealing with queries
• Supporting the preparation and completion financial reports and returns
• Preparing for and assisting with reviews, e.g. audits and internal scrutiny
• Supervision of finance staff and admin staff (as appropriate)
